Welcome to FTN (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, forms, or any related services (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. By using FTN, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. User Accounts

You may be required to register an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

3. Author Content

Authors retain full copyright and ownership of their submitted works. By submitting content (including text, images, or downloadable files) to FTN, you grant FTN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, promote, and distribute your content on the FTN platform and its affiliated channels.
This license ends if you request removal of your content in writing.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload, share, or promote any content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes upon others’ rights.

• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform’s operation.

• Misuse other authors’ data or materials.
  Violation may result in suspension or removal of your content or account.

5. Intellectual Property

All site design, structure, code, and branding (excluding author content) are the property of FTN and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

6. Limitation of Liability

FTN provides the Platform “as is.” We make no guarantees regarding uptime, data security, or results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FTN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Platform.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that may pose security or reputational risks.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in NSW.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

 
Privacy Policy

FTN respects your privacy and complies with applicable data-protection laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

• Author profiles and promo data you submit

• Activity and usage data (e.g., page visits, submission history)

• Cookies and analytics data (for site functionality and performance)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Publish and promote your author content

• Process transactions and Mandarins system credits

• Communicate updates, news, and support messages

• Improve our platform and prevent misuse

3. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored securely through Wix infrastructure and protected by encryption and access control.
We take reasonable steps to safeguard your data but cannot guarantee absolute security in online environments.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share data only with:

• Service providers essential to platform operations (e.g., payment processors, analytics tools)

• Legal authorities if required by law

5. Cookies

FTN uses cookies to enable site functionality and track anonymous usage statistics. You can disable cookies through your browser, but some site features may stop working.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations.
You can request deletion of your data by contacting support@ftn.com.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

8. International Data

If you access FTN from outside Australia, you consent to your data being transferred and processed in Australia under equivalent protection standards.

Copyright & Content Policy

1. Ownership

All books, text, imagery, and promotional material uploaded by authors remain the intellectual property of the respective author. FTN does not claim ownership.

2. License to Host

By uploading content, authors grant FTN a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote their material on the FTN Platform and its associated services.

3. Use of Free Content

Any downloadable content labeled “Free Stuff” is provided under a personal, non-commercial use license.
You may not resell, redistribute, or modify any content without the author’s explicit permission.

4. Reporting Infringement

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please contact us at support@ftn.com with:

• Your contact information

• Description of the copyrighted material

• The URL of the allegedly infringing content

• A statement that you own or represent the copyright holder

5. Content Removal

FTN reserves the right to remove or disable access to any content alleged to infringe copyright, breach these terms, or violate applicable laws.

No AI Training & Data Ethics Policy

1. Our Promise

FTN is committed to protecting the creative integrity of authors. We do not sell, share, or contribute any uploaded content, metadata, or text to AI training datasets or machine learning models.

2. Technical Boundaries

FTN is built on Wix and uses standard web hosting. We do not export or provide third-party access to database content except as necessary for platform operations (e.g., display, caching, search).

3. Author Control

Authors may request deletion or anonymization of their data and content at any time. Deleted data is purged from live servers and not reused.

4. AI Interaction Disclaimer

FTN may display or generate copy written about books (e.g., marketing blurbs or social posts). These are generated internally and not used to train external AI systems.

5. Policy Enforcement

Any partner or subcontractor working with FTN must adhere to this same data-integrity principle: no use of user content for machine learning, model training, or data resale.
